"Cetatuia" - hotel, restaurant in Buzau

An interesting location, in the middle of the forest where you arrive on a fairly good unpaved forest road.I was there for lunch and the food was very good. Apart from the traditional local food based on meat and sausages, you can also find vegetarian options and many kinds of soups.The terrace of the restaurant is charming and full of flowers.

Good service, very nice personnel, clean, quiet, beautiful location in the middle of the woods. Food was good and prices reasonable. Only thing to be improved, from my point off view, is the play ground area. We enjoyed our stay.

A great place in the very heart of the forest! Truly a 4 start experience from accomodation to the restaurant! Amaxing place to disconnect and get connect with nature. I would describe it as a 4 start oasis in the middle of peace and tranquility itself!

Unfortunately, the restaurant service is bad... 😔The food is not so bad, , however is not what you expected..The access road for th lat 1 Km need to have a off road car 4×4 , otherwise you will destroy the car on that slop, with rocks and holes...I shall never retun there...

A beautiful place to visit during autumn, went with someone and the path to the hotel was an amazing colourful experience. The drive up to the place is done on a dirt path. The location is magical and feels cozy. We tried the dear burger and the deer rulade while having some warm drinks. The deer burger is out of this world and I didnt expect for it to be so good. The rulade was a bit dry for my liking but was amazingly well paired with mushrooms and blue cheese (or roccuefort), really good combination, and really flavourful, there was a glazing on the side but it didnt help it achieve perfection ( still good food dont get me wrong). The staff was friendly, very attentive and contributed to put food time. Im really looking forward to revisiting this place for food.and maybe stay over night.

The food was great. I was totally impressed by the duck. Even though in the menu it is mentioned one duck leg they brought two duck legs. Omg!

The place looks nice and the staff was ok. The food looked good, visually, but the taste was a mixed bag. Its possible it was bad luck, but out of 4 dishes, they were all decent but not convincing to come back a second time.

Perfect choise for a remote and quiet place to recover yourself after the fast battery draining urban life. Great and tasty local dishes too.

This time we enjoyed the turkey and one of their pork main dishes. The food is the reason why we would aim for 4 stars but because of services and the access road we provided with 3 stars.Services on the other hand need serious improvment (odors, manners and timing): body odor of the waiter which served us today needs to dissapear please (totaly unacceptable); the same waiter left the beverage tray with our drinks on our table and from the same tray he took somone else order and served it before serving us (handy indeed but realy unacceptable and I would say rude); in terms of timing considering the fact that only the rerrace was buzy 35 minutes for the main dish is a bit to much; luckly we enjoyed very much a tasty appetizer which arrived in 20 minutes (lovely combination of tastes)👍

Quiet place, surounded by woods and beautiful views. There are also some trails around to go for a walk/hike if you like that.The hotel is nice and clean. The stay and food are a bit expensive, but worth it in my opinion.Friendly staff and pets ☺️We will probably come again for a longer stay.

Decent place, worth a visit. Good location in the middle of the forest, food and drinks okay, except the fries (frozen ones).

Isolated hotel and thats the best of it. Its very nice that they have a restaurant downstairs because theres nowhere you can get some food for several miles. The staff is welcoming, the rooms are clean and cosy. The best place to escape the urban routine.

Very nice cosy place in the middle of nature, in the heart of a beautiful forest! You can enjoy nice hiking through out the forest. Also there are some touristic attractions, within confortable driving distance.I think that the best way the hotel is to go with a group of friends, to book it all, in order to enjoy the privacy.The rooms are spacious and clean. The only downside for my taste, is that the windows have ineffective shades, so you will wake early.The restaurant is good, and the staff nice and friendly.I would happily go back!

Great location, on a hill in a forest, away from everything except a little church you reach after a pleasant 10 minutes walk. I liked the rooms, all the place was warm and you feel good. Beautiful outdoor. The restaurant is fine too. But not great! All is very clean.

A beautiful place in the woods. The place nice rooms whit balcony. As understood the cabana has 10 rooms, a very big terrace and is child friendly. You can eat there and the food is great. They have 3 kind of supps, second dish are more whit meat duck, pork, beef, fish whit salats and side dish. Also deserts and the cheesecake was the best in my opinion. Price at food are different from 16 lei up to 60 lei, but the food is good. You can go to walks in the wood and is a very quiet place were you can relax. The night is in weekend 370 lei and in the rest of the time 280 lei. You have nice placese near by hergelia Cislau, Vulcani Noroiosi, Tabara de Sculptura Magura, barajul Siriu, Manastirea Ciolanu, Schitul Cetaruia this is 15 minutes walk from the cabana. Also in the same district you can go to Sarata Monteoru, Conacul Marghiloman, Platoul Meledic. I recomand this place for a few days or a weekend to enjoy nature or to visit the district Buzau.

Located in a beautiful area in Buzaus mountains, the restaurant and stay offer silence and a little piece of heaven hidden in nature. The place is very silent and relaxing with friendly staff, delicious food and a cute garden where you can enjoy a nice meal. The menu has a combination of traditional foods and more modern foods, which I think its great. The prices might seem a bit high for some, but when youll taste the food you will understand it is worth it. I highly recommend this place for a beautiful retreat in nature.

This villa was such a great find and I feel we are very lucky to have been able to book the entire spot for a weekend.The place is magnificent and the rooms are extremely tastefully fitted out.It’s extremely well placed to drive to any surrounding area but the courtyard is just perfect for the stay. Food is delicious with the right balance of taste and varied selection.The owners makes you very welcome and are very friendly and helpful as are all working there. Hope to return one day.Highly recommended!

I was there with my family for 3 nights and we enjoyed it a lot! The staff was very kind, rooms were clean, food was great and it was one of the places I would like to return. We went there during the winter and as there was not much snow, I can say that the landscapes have much more potential during spring, summer or autumn. We went there around Valentines day and we got the chance to hear nice music played at the piano. The food is refined and very tasty, though if you prefer large or extra large portions, then you either need to order more either you need to put yourself on a diet. For me it was perfect, as I was able to go through a soup, main course and desert, reaching my limit. I am a cheese cake fan, and I can say that their cheesecake was the best I ever eaten. Sometimes I feel like I would drive 2-3 hours just for another piece of that cheesecake. The roads however are not the best, but if you got that far then you should not complain about the roads. The parking place is large. There are many places you can visit nearby, you can also go hiking and I really recommend you to visit it with your family. Its nice and quiet. The prices are more than reasonable, you have free WiFi, though your phone connection isnt the best (as you are surrounded by trees), but if you are looking for a quiet place, then thats not an issue isnt it? I was able to find phone signal 95% of the time :).

Great place for a cozy weekend!The staff was very professional, they helped us feel like home. The food is nice and they have plenty of options for the wine. The rooms are big and pleasant, tea and coffee included, they have a minibar also.You don’t have too many options for visiting around (one or two monasteriesbut if you want to enjoy the nature and the forest this is a great place to stay!

Best place to stay near Buzău. Especially beautiful during autumn. You have to stay here.

Warm recommendation to everyone! A peaceful place in the middle of forest that will let you forget about the daily problems. The food was delicious and the service was friendly, helpful and fast. When it comes to wine... if food is the body of good living, wine is its soul! An experience not to be missed!
